The Virginia Flaggers are pleased to report the installation of a NEW Roadside Memorial Battle Flag in the Commonwealth!  This flag, our 30^th since we raised our first one in September of 2013, was raised earlier this morning to the Glory of God, and in honor and memory of Virginia’s Confederate Veterans, on Rt. 40 in Pittsylvania County, on a busy stretch that is heavily traveled by travelers and tourists headed to Smith Mountain Lake. 

We want to thank Governor Northam and Virginia Democrats for the uptick in folks contacting us about putting battle flags on their property.  It seems their disgraceful attempts to denigrate our history and heritage, dishonor our veterans, and desecrate our monuments and memorials has backfired and hopefully will be the catalyst to wake the sleeping giant of Confederate resistance in the Commonwealth and help to turn Virginia back in the right direction.

New J.E.B. Stuart Monument To Be Raised in Ararat, Va

We are pleased to support our friends at J.E.B. Stuart Birthplace Preservation Trust in their efforts to erect a new monument at Laurel Hill. This is exactly how we should be responding to the disgraceful attempts to remove our memorials... raise more! We ask you to consider making a contribution to this worthy endeavor... "The Board of Directors of the JEB Stuart Birthplace Preservation Trust announces a fundraising campaign to erect a monument at Laurel Hill. This effort is actually a continuation of a monument fundraiser started a number of years ago, but was tabled due to cost and other considerations. The Board feels now is the right time to fulfill that obligation. This monument, which will be unveiled in 2020, the 30th anniversary of the organization, will be of granite, standing seven feet tall, with mounted bronze plaques. One plaque will show an image of Stuart in his early years at Laurel Hill, a rendition done by local artist Allen Weidhaas. JEB Stuart VI posed for this model when he was younger. The second plaque will have quotes from letters JEB wrote in later years, telling of his feelings and desire to return to the place of his birth. The dedication will be announced at a later date. Some may feel that today’s political climate dose not lend itself to building new monuments. The Board of Directors would argue the opposite, that more monuments, statuary, and interpretive signs should erected, not just to Stuart’s time, but to all historical figures, who are part of our country’s collective history and heritage. All donations to this monument will be greatly appreciated. Donations of twenty-five dollars or more will receive a bronze monument medallion and donors will be duly noted in upcoming editions of the Trust’s newsletter, Reconnaissance. Terrorists Vandalize Confederate Memorials in Richmond

Some time overnight last night, and shortly after Richmond City Council voted to ask the General Assembly for permission to destroy Monument Avenue, local terrorists took their cue to vandalize several Confederate monuments, desecrating the Davis and Jackson memorials.

This is what Richmond Mayor Stoney wants. He has been getting tips from his pal Wes Bellamy in Charlottesville on how to completely divide and destroy a community, and it looks like he is well on his way to succeeding.

Please call Richmond public works at (804) 646-7000 and tell them how disgusted you are by this vandalism and ask them when it will be removed.

There is no question as to what kind of people are behind this. “God is gay” was spray painted on the foot of the memorial to a man of exemplary faith and Christian character.

They hate our heritage because it is a Christian one. They hate us because we refuse to relinquish our birthright or deny our faith. 

We are in for the fight of our lives, folks. Pray up. Gird up. Man up. Our time is now.

Lawlessnes Continues in Charlottesville - Terrorists Vandalize Confederate Memorials Again

Terrorists have struck again in Charlottesville, vandalizing the beautiful Lee and Jackson monuments.  In the weeks since a judge ruled that City Council had indeed violated state law in their attempts to remove the memorials,  local agitators appear to have been given free reign in their criminal attempts to destroy the monuments.  The pedestals for both statues have been vandalized multiple times, either with paint or by the decorative granite being chipped away. Police discovered “Impeach Trump” and “This Is Racist” painted on the Lee statue around 8 p.m. Thursday, November 28. Tarps were used to cover the graffiti over the weekend. The statue of Thomas “Stonewall" Jackson in JACKSON Park was also spray painted with “This Is Racist” on both sides of its pedestal at some point during the weekend. Our friends in the Gordonsville Grays have organized monument patrols and citizens assisting in the endeavor even caught several locals in the act, preventing even more damage, but the terrorists were released by Charlottesville Police, who told our folks that nothing could be done unless a police officer caught them in the act. Numerous requests to place cameras, including offers to pay for them, have all been denied by the city. Staff with the Departments of Parks and Recreation was FINALLY at LEE Park this morning, working to scrub the paint off the pedestal of the LEE monument.  Crime Stoppers is offering a $2,000 reward for anyone who has information that leads to an arrest for the vandalism of the statues. That number is 434-977-4000. In the meantime, we will be contracting private security to give the folks on the ground a hand, and anyone wishing to assist the Gordonsville Grays with monument patrols are asked to contact  them at GordonsvilleGrays@gmail.com .

Social media posts like this one show the brazen nature of these terrorists and are a good indication of the type of godless radicals  behind the attempts to removal our memorials and eradicate our history.  Their efforts have nothing to do with slavery, "racism", or "white supremacy", and everything to do with wanting to intimidate and silence the Christian, conservative majority, best represented in the American South.

Monumental Confederate Court Victories in Virginia and Alabama Today!

We are THRILLED to report the news of TWO major victories today in the fight to save our heritage. In Virginia, a Louisa County judge denied a motion in a murder case to remove a portrait of Robert E. Lee from the Louisa County Circuit Courthouse. Attorneys for Darcel Murphy, who faces the possibility of the death penalty if he is convicted for the murder of Kevin Robinson in March 2016, had argued that the portrait of the Confederate general in the courtroom could influence jurors during Murphy’s trial. Murphy is African American, as was Robinson. The display of Confederate symbols “violate the defendant’s right to equal protection under the law,” lead attorney Douglas Ramseur wrote in his 2018 motion to remove the portrait. “There is no greater offense to the Equal Protection Clause [of the Constitution] than government favoritism of one race over another.” Sanner agreed that the Lee portrait is much larger than any other portrait in the courtroom. But he described the image of Lee in his uniform, standing in front of a tree, as “benign.” “The concern of the Defendant in this case is really not what this portrait depicts, but who it depicts,” he wrote. “Setting aside its subject, the portrait does not compromise the fair administration of justice.” The judge said, referring to slavery, that “those who played an active role in defending the indefensible face substantial difficulty in escaping the harsh judgment of history.”  But he also noted that many people admire “the real or perceived qualities of General Lee.” He noted that Lee is one of the few individuals to have a state holiday observed in their honor.  “It is difficult for the Court to accept that nothing other than the implied original and continuing racism of the Virginia General Assembly supports that distinction,” Sanner wrote.

Meanwhile, a HUGE win in Alabama, where the Alabama Supreme court REVERSED a lower court ruling on the Confederate monument in Linn Park in Birmingham, and UPHELD Alabama's historic monument protection law!

The Alabama Supreme Court today ruled that the city of Birmingham violated Alabama’s monument protection law when it placed a plywood screen around a Confederate monument in Linn Park in August 2017.

In a 9-0 decision, the justices reversed a lower court ruling in favor of the city. The Supreme Court sent the case back to circuit court with instructions to enter an order that the city broke the law and must pay a $25,000 fine.

The Legislature passed the Alabama Memorial Preservation Act in 2017 in response to removals and calls for removal of Confederate monuments on public property.

The law prohibits local governments from moving, altering, renaming, or otherwise disturbing monuments that have been in place 40 years or more.

The stone base of the Confederate Soldiers and Sailors Monument has been in Linn Park since 1894. The marble shaft was added in 1905, when the Pelham Chapter of the United Daughters of the Confederacy dedicated the monument.

Former Birmingham Mayor William Bell ordered the covering of the monument. Bell took that step after a city councilman asked that the monument be removed.

Attorney General Steve Marshall filed a lawsuit asking the court to declare the covering of the monument violated the Memorial Preservation Act.

In January, Jefferson County Circuit Judge Michael Graffeo ruled that the law violated the city’s rights to free speech and due process.

“Just as the state could not force any particular citizen to post a pro-Confederacy sign in his or her front lawn, so too can the state not commandeer the city’s property for the state’s preferred message,” Graffeo wrote.

In a 44-page opinion today, Justice Tommy Bryan cited legal precedents and concluded that the circuit court erred in ruling that the city had constitutional rights to free speech and due process.

The ruling also addressed the amount of the fine. The law calls for a $25,000 for each violation of the act. Bryan concluded that the city was subject to a single $25,000 fine, rather than a fine for each day the monument was covered.

While we realize the fight is only beginning, let's take a moment to pause and thank God for these victories.  Every win helps our momentum, encourages our supporters, and reminds those who would have every trace of our history and heritage removed that there are still plenty of us with PLENTY of fight left.

Leftist Terrorists Vandalize Memorial Battle Flag Sites in Pittsboro, NC

Patriots were on the scene of one of our 6 flag sites in Pittsboro, NC early Saturday morning where one of our flag poles was vandalized and cut down overnight. Police have been notified and an investigation is underway.  Several of the other sites were vandalized, as well, with (failed) attempts made to cut them down, as well.  Meanwhile, a temporary flag has been raised in its place, and volunteers are working to clean up the site, where the terrorists tossed welded nails in an attempt to further damage personal property and cause bodily harm to any men, women, or children who help maintain the site.

 

Just another example of the very real and stark difference between us and them.

 

The flag will be back up and flying soon, and no doubt once word spreads, we will get even more offers of land for more flag sites. Criminal activity like this is meant to intimidate, but only serves to strengthen our resolve. We survived four years of illegal invasion and 150+ years of reconstruction. This. Ain’t. Nothing.
